For this year, I acquired a non-exclusive representation of the Italian manufacturer of vacuum furnaces TAV Vacuum Furnaces, based in Caravaggio near Milan. The company concentrates on the production of vacuum furnaces of various types, but mainly on equipment for the aerospace industry and for processing according to Nadcap. In addition to the parent company, there is also a subsidiary TAVENGINEERING, which deals with service and repairs of equipment manufactured by the parent company. Because vacuum furnaces are usually depreciated over a period of 20 years, there is also a high degree of professional support for users of TAV equipment throughout the life of the furnace.
In addition to conventional vacuum furnaces for hardening or tempering, the company is also significantly engaged in the processing of powder steels or ceramics. In addition to these technologies, it also has sintering furnaces in its portfolio, or sintering furnaces with simultaneous binder removal. Therefore, these devices are also suitable for additive technologies such as MIM, etc.
