Unexpectedly, a newsletter from the company Prikner from Broumov landed on my computer. Right at the beginning it says:
Dear customers and partners,
We are happy to welcome you through our first newsletter. We would like to regularly inform you about events in the company, news and innovations in the world of heat treatment of metals.
You will receive this newsletter a maximum of four times a year and we believe that it will be an interesting and inspiring source of information.
Best regards,
the Prikner company team and Petra Priknerová,
company manager PRIKNER – heat treatment of metals, s. r. o.
A rare feat in our rigid Heat Treaters sky, which I can only applaud. I have long believed that our customers should know more about us, as well as about metallurgy. I myself am already at number 274 on my blog, and even this number is not enough for the breadth of information I would like to share. I am limited only by lack of time.
The same applies to commercial heat treatment plants or manufacturers of heat treatment equipment. How else will customers or potential buyers actually learn what we do, how we do it and what our goal actually is. What is better, what is worse, or what we are really good at.
For many years at Bodycote I have promoted the motto “Good work promotes itself”. Yes, there is some truth to that. But now, standing outside the Bodycote structure, I don’t think that’s enough anymore. My statement is valid, but I can’t keep it to myself. In order for my good work to really gain traction, the customer should also know about it. And an educated and informed customer = half the problems for us.
So, thumbs up to the Prikner company.
