This part of the course deals with the heat treatment of die casting dies. It deals with all necessary thermal operations such as stress annealing, soft annealing, hardening and tempering, as well as annealing after EDM, after welding or after sampling. It describes what the correct quenching or tempering process should look like, it also outlines what heat treatment equipment can be processed in the Nadca 207 system, and how these processes should be certified by the heat treatment company. The course also includes a test of acquired knowledge and a printed certificate of completion including a score with test results
