Additive 3D printing technology is currently one of the most important innovation trends. But how do these technologies compare to the Nadca 207? Can these technologies be applied to die casting dies without limitations? Or under what conditions? How can these technologies be understood in relation to the work contract and customary practices? How are these technologies doing with die life and thermal fatigue resistance? The course opens up some of these questions, and also outlines the basic principles for their practical application, including a description of 3D printing using EB-PBF, LB-PBF methods or the application of heat treatment and HIP. Can we find some answers in Nadca publication 550 “Tooling Certification for Die Casting Components Fabricated by Additive Manufacturing? The course also includes a test of acquired knowledge and a printed certificate of completion including a score with test results
