Tomorrow will be exactly 6 years since I left my flagship Bodycote. Since 1992, 26 years spent building the field of heat treatment within our original project HT-PROGRES, later under the name of Bodycote.

And what happened in the last 6 years? So, above all, I am myself. I have no one to answer to except myself or my family.

On the one hand simple, on the other then binding. But that freedom opened a number of doors for me that I wouldn’t have entered as a Bodycote, and closed a number of doors because I became a supposed “competitor”. My cooperation with Galvamet was stressful for some, but for me it was an extremely beneficial experience, because getting to know the environment of a family heat treatment business is primarily about relationships and the realization of small ideas that do not interfere with the global world. Thanks to everyone there in Vsetín for the friendship we made together, I really appreciate it.

But I also became a pioneer in a number of things that could only be realized within my independence. My website and my blog give me the opportunity to express myself, my vision of e-learning for heat treaters is gradually becoming what I imagined from it.

And since also representing the renowned furnace manufacturers TAV Vacuum Furnaces and ECM Furnaces gives me a new space for self-realization, the six years were actually not a fault. Both companies are currently at the top of technology, which gives me the opportunity to go further in our complicated field.

And so, it became my fate, that crazy trait of mine, not to be simply the last. Challenges keep coming, and as the saying goes, “he who stands awhile stands afar.”
