But what caught my eye this time is the GIGA bike. The entire frame is cast from Mg alloy, one single piece in a few seconds. The exact production technology is not described, but it is probably the HPDC Rheocasting method. Because magnesium is very light, we will be close to a carbon frame in weight. We are not lagging behind in other properties either. This can be seen from the table comparing the properties of individual frame types. The price of the frame will probably be unbeatable, however.
So I’m really into this. I bought an electric bike when I retired, and I think it’s the invention of the century. But if it’s also ridiculously priced, then I’m speechless…
