Sometimes some things happen without us wanting or anticipating them. Last year, I had some very hard discussions with TAV Vacuum about furnace programming. My goal, and we have been fully fulfilling this since my time at Bodycote, was to have and supply furnaces that will require minimal or no operator intervention in the process thanks to cycle programming. Everything must work automatically, based on process control from Ts and Tc, regardless of the dimensions of the parts. Just because the operator is often in charge of ten or more furnaces, and therefore can not interfere with the course of the cycle, because it simply does not catch up. However, it must be ensured that the entire cycle, both for heating and hardening/cooling, is carried out correctly, with all the attributes required by, for example, Nadca 207.
In the end, we came to a result that can be seen in Galvamet. And because TAV Vacuum appreciated my contribution and opinions, I was asked for an article in their blog on Nadca 207. You can find the result here:

A few months passed, and on January 24, 2022, the article was featured in HeatTreatToday. A big surprise for me, and if I remember historical data, I was probably the first Czech to be honored. As we Czechs would say … don’t buy it ..
So actually my year 2022 started great …
