EasySteel

Occasionally there is an application that can make life easier for those who work with steels. Although the TAVENGINEERING company is a service organization of TAV VACUUM FURNACES, as usual, an enthusiast was found who decided to create an application for people in the field. However, the manual itself states that the application is for “training purposes” only and is not intended for use in production

„EasySteel is an application created only for educational purposes and it is not intended for production use. TAVENGINEERING will not be held responsible for damage resulting from improper use of EasySteel in production environments“

This is sufficient for rough orientation, but only a few basic steels can be found here and for them austenitization temperatures, or soaking time according to the diameter or thickness of the part. However, it is not stated according to which criteria the austenitization time is calculated, so many doubts remain. There is also no data on tempering temperatures or tempering curves at all.

Because every heat treatment supplier must demonstrate compliance with material standards, this application certainly does not meet this. And so there is nothing left but to continue to use the good old Stahlschlüssel.
